On October 19th 2011, an eviction operation was launched against the traveller community in Basildon by the local council and supported by national government.
Over 100 people were made homeless, dozens of families. Many still remain with nowhere to go, living next to the road of their former homes.
Dale Farm was not a one off, join the fight for sites.
The Department for Local Government and Communities are destroying housing for all and gypsies and travellers have it the worst. With evictions and a shortage of 4000 pitches for travellers in England.
So on the anniversary of the Dale Farm eviction, Traveller Solidarity Network has called for a mass action to evict the Department for Communities and Local Government.
Under the leadership of Eric Pickles, the Department is leading the attack on gypsy and traveller rights. Eric Pickles’ Localism Bill is the latest attack on Travellers.
EVICT ERIC PICKLES AND DCLG!
